My Story

Connecting with earth and people

Earthern Woman is an online store selling crystals, spells, gemstone jewellery and gifts. It's a one woman operation situated at the foothills of the Dandenong ranges, near the 1000 stairs in Melbourne, Victoria. I am the business owner, my name is Julie and I come from a family of German heritage, my line includes dowers, psychics and energy healers. My grandfather also had a passion for crystals and gemcutting.

I have been interested in all things earthen and spiritual for as long as I can remember but only decided to share my interests with the wider world after seeing the dramatic positive results that my spells had on the lives of my family and friends. The small packages that I've made for them including crystals, herbs and instructions for meditation and intention have empowered them in situations that previously had them feeling powerless. With the use of these kits I've seen people attract friends and new partners and watched them blossom with happiness. I've seen women finally rid themselves of toxic relationships and gain confidence and self esteem to take on the world. Other friends have moved on from painful experiences, started fresh and found new jobs and homes that they love. All of them without fail, improved their lives after performing one of the small boxed rituals. I've long ago stopped questioning why these spells work, whether it be magick, the power of thought or a placebo effect. I only know that they do work and I love to be able to share them.  Being able to help people that I care about, combined with the extra time and reflection that the covid pandemic lockdown provided, I found myself driven to start Earthern Woman and offer products and information that can empower others to create a life that they love.

I do my best to always use recycled, recyclable and/or biodegradable packaging. When you receive a parcel from Earthern Woman, you'll immediately notice the difference. It's amazing how we can become so used to the presence of plastic in our lives that we don't really notice it until we open a box and find it filled with natural products such as paper, cardboard, cotton fabric, glass, metal and stone. Only my most fragile of products, made with selenite, are posted wrapped in plastic bubble wrap. This I do with great reluctance but I make sure to  use recycled bubble wrap that I've received through the post myself when I've had fragile items delivered to me. I also try to avoid stocking plastic items. Sometimes it's unavoidable with products such as pens or the elastic thread inside beaded bracelets but I expect these things to be treasured and used a lot, not just disposable fashion. Every item that I stock, I also own and use on a regular basis and I treasure every one of them.
